We're an American family of five just beginning a new adventure in Turku, Finland after five years in Sharjah, UAE. My husband and I are both academics in the field of linguistics.

And because people always ask, we've also lived in Moscow, Russia; Damascus, Syria; Amman, Jordan; Cairo, Egypt; and in Utah, Arizona, Vermont, and New York, USA.

Also because people always ask: almost everywhere we've lived has been for a different reason. Respective to the list above: US Embassy; Fulbright Scholarship; Study Abroad Director; Research; and miscellaneous things in the US including study and work.
