I cannot wait to buy these We Brave Women cards for every child I know. Which niece/nephew's birthday comes next??
Movie scenes in which guns have been replaced with selfie sticks. Let's be honest, this is probably the end goal of the internet in general, right? I can't remember where I saw this but it sounds like something via T Kay or Cait. [T Kay, I can't find your Denmark blog or I would link to it here.]
We need this dose of heartwarming compassion right now: watch a Portugal (soccer) fan console a French one after France's loss in the Euro championship game on Sunday.
I enjoyed this long read about a man's search for the people who spent a winter during WW2 holed up with his parents in a basement in Hungary, hiding from the Germans. It's one of those searches that he wishes he'd done earlier, but also would not have been possible until the internet. This story combines the best of internet sleuthing, surprising revelations, and the conflict between honoring your parents' memory by finding out more about the past, and honoring them by letting things stay hidden.
Since nobody got hurt, I find this story juuuuust a little bit funny: river tubing trip turns into nightmare for three women. Best quote: "They were informed by somebody at the bridge that the river goes in a circle and if they put in there they would come back to their car."
An updated list of RNC speakers (s-bomb warning).
