At last it's light outside when I go to and from work now. It feels like such a luxury after a long, dark winter. Tonight - tonight! (very early evening, but still) - I was on a walk with Sterling and I realized it had been a long time since I'd really seen the neighborhood in daylight. I found myself looking around and asking myself: has that house always been here? Did that house paint their fence? Did those trees always look so scrubby?
The snow is almost all melted, and the heavy rain forecast for tonight should take care of anything that's left. A few streets have even had the winter gravel cleared away. Spring is coming!
